So as I'm writing this post I'm currently on a coach home from Uni.
I bought a packet of crisps from the attractive coach vender, but opened them upside down. Not so the crisps fell out or anything, but so the logo was upside down, and now I feel odd eating them. When I was little if this ever happened I use to cry and refuse to eat from the packet, through fear of them not tasting right.
Now I feel the same. I'm unsure If it's because I'm hungover, but my heart sunk when it happened this time, sad isn't it?
Anyway, I figured you already know so many weird facts about me, I might as well share my food rules with you. Don't want you making any faux pas if we ever eat together now do we?
I despise wet food. By this I mean stuff Swimming in sauces or covered in gravy. No. It's not right. I like to chew my food, not have to sieve out the lumps and drink it. Blergh.
If we were going to eat a Roast dinner for example, none of the food should be touching on the plate. None of that, let's mix it together crap or, pile it on another. No thanks, I like to see what I'm eating and not taint it with another food group. The French have got the right idea, in a way. They eat their meals in a logical order, vegetables, carbs then meats. I like that, orders are good.
And finally, as if you didn't think it could get any worse, I HATE eating alone. Not snacks or anything, but like meals. Well it's just bad manners to up and leave the table when someone hasn't finished anyway, but I'm a slow eater. I've been known to have my meals re-heated mid sitting, so I understand it can get a bit tedious to sit with me, but you didn't enter into it blindly! I warned you I'm slow. I'm unsure of the reason I hate to eat alone, I think it might be the fact I've never had to due to family dinners, that the concept is so daunting.
So yeah. There we go. A few reasons you should think twice before sitting down to a meal with me.

I'm awkward
In most social situations A recent example of this would be at a Morning Parade gig. I had an opportunity to have a drink with a member of the band. Great right?! I bailed. I ran to Pret and got a cup of Earl Grey. Oh yeah. Thats a thing i did.
I did eventually go and have a drink with him, after A lot of persuasion by my friend and brother.
You might think that's just because he's famous and I was nervous, so I'll give you another
When people you know see you in passing and say "alright". I am unable to read the situation to the point where I'm not sure which response the statement requires. Is it a question, "alright?" "yeah good, you?" or is it just a greeting "alright". It's got to the point now that instead of being awkward and picking the wrong response, resulting in the person buggering off and I'm still asking how their day was, I don't say anything. I stare blankly at them, crack a slight smile and carry on my way, I apologise of I've done this to you and you think I'm being rude, I'm not
Well I could go on with examples, but I feel if I divulge too many no ones gonna bother talking to me, or alternatively, their gonna point out all the times I'm awkward and log it.
Please don't do either of those

Having a think
Just thought, I've started all these little "challenges" for myself and have told you all about them, but have failed to keep you up to date.
Firstly, I've failed at reading Harry Potter, well continuing to read the series is more accurate. After finishing the first one it became apparent that the sequel is really just a recount of it's predecessor....I got bored and quit.
Secondly, that no complaining for 21 days. Yeah. Still going strong, haven't yet made it past a week. But I'm getting better! Ok, I think that's everything up to date.
Oh, oh, oh, I mega want another Tattoo. I've decided what I want, it's just where to put it is my issue. Also the fact I have 3 already, and I always wanted odd numbers. Something for me to Ponder over.
Well that was an exciting update wasn't it
Additional message from Xavier: Hey happy people :) if I'm honest I'm not really sure what to say! So take this! I LOVE COWS!

Prep 'fo lyfe
As you can probably tell by the awkward start, I'm not street. Not gangster. In fact, it probably didn't take you until this post to realise that, If it did...well bloody hell old chap!
Whilst walking through Piccadilly circus the other week, taking in all the sights of London, including its inhabitants (in the least creepy sense) my flatmate and I were talking about phases. Fashion related mainly, which in turn I suppose would mean personality and the like.
My flatmate, in her own words, described her current style as "grunge meet normal" which to those of you that haven't met her means; jeans, various scary skull tops, long necklaces and a leather jacket. However she did say that she wasn't always like this. Her current style was influenced by previous stages throughout her childhood, some example's of her phases being; chav, skater and scene.
When she listed her previous style choices I was thinking of my own, and that's where I've got stuck. I've literally had the same "taste" in clothes since as log as I can remember. I don't remember going through phases of wanting a tracksuit, nor dressing head to toe in black and insisting people call me "venom-punch". I'm starting to feel i've missed out on a right of passage, is it too late to start?
I've always liked to be slightly different. Whether it be the way I dress, the music I listen to or even the fads I never understood and consequently never followed. There are certain aspects of me that have changed, but it appears fashion isn't one of them.
I remember the first time I was called "Preppy", it was by my brother over an evening meal in which we were explaining the different social stereotypes to our parents. I remember thinking "yeah alright mate, I don't dress like the private school kids"....which I don't, I have my own style, which just falls under that category. I like to call it "Charity-shop chic"
To finish I'll let you in on a little "skill" of mine. I have the ability to wear anything, I mean ANYTHING, and make it look preppy. FACT. A recent example of this being, a nose ring.
How'dya like dem eggs?!
