When you get your hair done, rock that new dress or finally find a lipstick shade you can pull off, a compliment really polishes off your day.
What I want to know is, how do you respond to a compliment?
Do you merely say thank you? Risking the chance of appearing self indulged, "I do look good don't I?"
Or do you respond with a compliment? "you look nice" "oh thanks, your hair is, different" that's one concern, if this is how you're meant to do it, what happens if you can't think of a valid compliment? Do you make one up? Or is that worse? WILL THEY KNOW I DON'T MEAN IT?
So my third option is to shrug it off. Smile and change the topic, running the risk of appearing rude and uninterested. What if it's a flirty compliment, and I just shrug it off when really I want to scream and go "girly"?
Maybe I make being me too hard. I know I over think things but, Jesus!
If you think like this, and know how I feel, please, let me know what you do? I'd like to reduce the amount of awkwardness that apparently is so prominent within my life.

Where'd you get those Creepers?
'Ello
As previously mentioned, I HATE having the same thing as other people.
So to further enforce my 'individuality' I bought a pair of shoes that none of my friends would ever be seen dead in, cos, that's what I do.
Creepers. They are, incredible. Literally. AMAZING
I ordered them online a couple of weeks ago, and granted they took a while to come, but by god are they worth it. Granted they look clumpy but they are so light! I am in love. I love shoes....but these. DAMN
Not to sure of a whole load of outfits that I can wear them with yet, but that's part of the fun of buying new things isn't it? I will quite happily sit thinking about what i could potentially wear things with, even adapting items so they are more wearable. I'm not a massively fashion orientated female (No kidding right?) but i like to think i know what I'm doing when it comes to my own style. Dressing someone else is a whole different matter.
So that's me, spending the rest of my Easter break in blissful thought of what to wear these new Leopard print shoes with. Oh, I didn't mention they were leopard print? oh yeah, I WENT THERE
