This post may initially seem as though I'm just gloating about what things I've bought/been given lately, but I promise that's not my (entire) motive. I'm using this post as more of a groundwork for an upcoming post, which will follow suit from my recent posts and be a review. Now that's out of the way, lets dive in, shall we?
There are two types of, "reviews" that I really want to cover in my upcoming posts. The first idea stemming from a previous post of mine and my slightly obvious love for nail polish and nail designs, as well as a more recent exposure of my makeup collection. Secondly, a fashion based post, after being informed that my appearance has FINALLY progressed. Well, I say "informed", I was told recently that my look's got progressively more "edgy". Despite not being sure if this is a good or a bad thing, I'm rolling with it, who knows, I may be shedding my preppy persona *scoffs*. So that's me, nails painted, face on and looking "Edgy"...this could be amusing.
The cosmetic aspect for this post, comes courtesy of my lovely parents and a care package they sent me, filled with what looks like the majority of an Avon catalogue.

Mineral Fix

4 nail varnishes?! You spoil me. The first is pretty much the best thing I could have gotten, I have the worst nails in the world. I paint them regularly partly because my head's constantly full of ideas that I need to try out, but mainly its due to the fact that nail varnishes never last long on my nails. I have really weak and flaky nails, making an uneven base for nail varnishes and thus the longevity of varnishes is next to nothing. With that said, this mineral fix varnish aims to not only even out the nails surface but also strengthen, so I'll give it a bash and keep you posted. I've got a few other Avon Pro+ varnishes and I love them, so I'm really excited to see what these colours are like as a base and for nail art, as well as on top of the Mineral fix. I've linked to the Avon site where I can, but the Mineral fix is nowhere to be seen, unfortunately.

I also got a SuperSHOCK mascara, which promises to volumise lashes, now for someone with lashes like mine, volumising isn't really something that I need, I have long lashes, and a lot of them. One thing I do look for in a good mascara though is pigment, I like a dark mascara one that will impact on my dark lashes as they are, a tall order I know. And finally, two retractable pencil eyeliners, in sugar plum and emerald glow, which I'm rather dubious about if I'm honest. I have really ridiculous eyes, on paper they're hazel, in reality they do what they want, recently getting progressively more green, so we'll see if I can match these at some point.
Unfortunately that's the end of this initial part of my "haul" but do look out for the next post which will be fashion based, and then the review of all these items and perhaps even a few more *big hint to my family if they're reading*, until then, Ciao
