How I became "edgy"

The title of this one had me in stitches for a while, but lets just roll with it.

In my previous post I mentioned that I had recently been described as more "edgy" of late, and it got me thinking about what I changed about myself to earn this title. I mean, I've spoken before about my preppy title, and how I never understood where that came from, and denied it with every fibre of my being, but now I'm not so sure. I guess with it being replaced with another label that I'm not 100% certain of, I kinda miss it. I MISS BEING CALLED PREPPY.

I thought I'd compile a few of my recent purchases and we can take the steps of progression together, lets delve in shall we?

Most of the stuff in this part of the haul thang we got going on here, is from Primark. I'm poor, ok?!

Firstly a burgundy t-shirt with leopard print cross. It's quite a thin shirt, so it's great for layering, but I'm currently favouring it as a staple with my highwaisted pleated shirt. Oh yeah, I own one of those.

Another staple of my wardrobe is a leather jacket I got from Henry Holland (if I ever do one of these again, my love for HH will become apparent). I know that everyone has leather jackets, and apart from my love of HH, the individual collarless design of this one is the main reason I went for it. Its a round neck button down jacket with quilted detail around the wrists and hem, really unique to the other ones on the high street at the moment.

Moving into more summer wear, I've got me some loud leggings, I've avoided them for so long, purely for the fact that I wasn't sure I could pull them off. Tiger legs are definitely the way forward though, I mean...LOOK AT THEM. These ones are great, they can be worn when its colder over another pair of leggings for an extra layer, but they're lightweight enough to still make a statement in the summer. I like.

The last picture is a disgustingly close, close up and for that I apologise. These two are most likely to be the staple accessories of this summer. I've wanted aviator sunglasses for as long as I can remember but I am cursed with chubby cheeks, prominent cheek apples and a crater for a dimple, meaning my sunglasses need to avoid resting on all this in order for me to smile/talk whilst wearing them. Aviators are well known for their size, so I was at a loss as to whether I was ever going to be able to pull off a pair, put Primark saved me once again, I'm in love! And the earrings? well, you cant buy TopGun glasses without getting your wings...

So that's your lot. I'm no longer Preppy. Well...
