Break up the Glossyboxes

I realise that not everyone is actually interested in what comes in my monthly subscription to a beauty box, I also understand it's a luxury that not everyone can justify. BUT, FEAR NOT devoted readers, for I have content that shall tickle your fancy any way (yes, it's kind of a product review)

In a post a while back, I one of my money saving secrets regarding the, in my opinion, overlooked gem that is Poundland. Well, I've been back and let me tell you, they did not disappoint. It will also not come as a surprise to you that if you are a regular reader of my twaddle, that I am obsessed with Argan/Macadamia oil, therefore any product that claims to contain any percentage of this, shall be snatched up. FACT.  I will openly admit that Mellor & Russell is not a brand that I had previously heard of, however I now own two of their products and literally cannot fault them!

The first purchase was one I made in preparation for my impending hair abuse (see new blog header image!), the Hair Repair Mask for all hair types. The smell of both of the products I have bought can literally only be described as heaven, really light and fruity but heavy enough to leave a scent on your hair. Good start. This is the first hair mask I've used, and its really just a thicker conditioner, leave it in with a towel on your head to keep it warm, rinse and bobs your uncle. Like I said I used this as preparation for a lot of bleaching and dying, and I really think it helped I.e. my hair is still on my head.

The second product, by the same brand, is an Instant Shine Spray. I know I know, I should have been protecting my hair from heat and nasties long before this, It's just, I HATE the feeling of having too much product in my hair, anything that makes my hair feel heavy or dense immediately resonates "greasy" with me and I have to start all over again. In my defence I do use Macadamia oil every time I wash my hair, before I dry it! Anyway, this spray is, so far, working for me. It's light, leaves my hair shiny and lovely afterwards and doesn't make my hair sticky to touch, in fact there is no residue at all. Bang on.

In all seriousness though guys, if you do dye your hair or use any form of heated styling, you should seriously be protecting your hair before with a spray and a repair based product when you wash it. It's only fair. And with these being a steal at the moment of £1 each, you.literally have no excuse!
